Once the engine’s roaring finally came to a buzzing halt.
We have officially landed in HONG KONG. Seat belts sign is off and we are on our way to customs and to pick up our bags.
Not more than 20mins and we had our bags and were headed to the EXIT.
A family friend picked us up, and it was nothing else but GREAT to get off this plane and finally get up and stretch during that walk to the smiling familiar face.
The minute i walked outside the airport i was in complete AWE! The weather. The crisp morning breeze, the hard working street sweeper, and the amount of high class and exotic cars parked in the parking.
Tony was cool about it and said that it was ‘nothing’ for me on the other hand. However, i could relate everything to a rush hour 2 or an old school Jackie Chan scene.
It was super funny seeing Tony go to the right side to sit down, only to remember that the DRIVER was the one that sits on the right side here. haha.
Simply beautiful. The palm trees. The winding road uphill. The mountain that reminded me of all the heroes we’ve watched train in something like it. The architecture. The car models.
I see why a lot of movie directors filmed here…
A few minutes later. We arrived at the condo. Time to relax for a bit, before we grab breakfast, and exchange some money… and did i mention we plan on hitting the one and only “tim sai choy” as Russell Peter’s mentioned in his last stand up.
